Across the river. Ferry access, steep streets, and a lot of character.
Bodinnick
Vehicle ferry crossing. Riverside homes and hillside cottages.
Par
Direct road access, straightforward jobs, and easy parking.
Tywardreath
Village properties with good access and no ferry logistics.
Lostwithiel
Inland town. Older houses, easier vehicles, no ferries involved.
Lerryn
Small riverside village. Quiet, narrow, single properties mostly.
Golant
Riverside hamlet with a tight lane in. Smaller van required.
Access notes by area
- Fowey old town. Steep streets and stepped access. Almost no stopping on the quay. Smaller van up top, loads hand-carried down if needed.
- Polruan. Access via ferry or the long way round by road. We plan the crossing in advance and factor it into timing.
- Bodinnick. Vehicle ferry crossing — the load goes across on the ferry if the property is riverside.
- Par and Tywardreath. Straightforward road access. Larger jobs are easier here than on the Fowey side.
- Lostwithiel. Easy access, older buildings, straightforward clearances.
- Lerryn and Golant. Riverside villages with narrow lanes. Smaller van, sometimes hand-carried.
